The good the bad and the details.
We are moving to St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
We will try to keep a rambling record for anyone that ever dreamed of giving it all up and moving to the Islands to learn from or just laugh at.
We try and try to like this place. It just can't be done. Jack's Wings in TuTu they just can't help but f up the service. The music is good but an hour and a half for a sandwich is just doesn't make sense.

I had the same problem twice at the Fat Turtle...won't go back no matter how people rave about it. Don't even get me started on Craig and Sallys....another one right OFF my list.
Worst service in St. Thomas? With literally every service provider on the island in competition for that title on a daily basis how did you pick just one?
Granted the food order was lost and it did take way too long to get fed. But let's be fair and tell the whole story. I never saw any of our drink glasses empty for more than a minute or two. The restaurant was filled to over capacity as it was standing room only for a special event. Why don't you mention what the manager did to make up for their mistake with our meal? He took all three of our meals off the bill. The food service was bad but I've had way worse experiences and not had the bill adjusted like that.

Alright, in fairness the drinks didn't go dry, but that was only because you knew the bartender. I did the post before the owner took the food off the bill. Frankly if I hadn't had the previous experience that vitempest was talking about prior to Little Shop of horrors I probably wouldn't have had as strong a reaction. On that occasion they were extremely busy, but we were seated, with a resevation prior to a whole lot of other people that got served before we did. Jay
Why would anyone possibly make excuses for a business establishment that fails to plan? A special event is not a suprise, it does not sneak up without warning and catch the kitchen or servers off guard. For a restaurant whose owner told me that he sells, on avarage, 2500 wings per week why would it ever take more than 15 minutes to get a basket of wings? An hour for a basket of wings when your order is in first? Give me a break. When a business advertises in the media for a special event they should plan staffing accordingly so that they can get their products in the hands of their clients asap. Just because management took cold, late or undelivered food off the bill does not excuse this. What it does show is that management doesn't give a hoot about its' reputation since this behavior has been repeated on multiple occasions.
Thanks for the heads up. We were going to try Jack's a couple of weeks ago and no place to park. We don't drive a beater so we just don't park anywhere in TuTu. We know enough bad service places on island to avoid, we'll take your word for it. When we spend our money to dine out we want it to be fun and enjoyable not a pain in the ass.

Jay - Deb,
Why not post about the horrible Jacks Wings experience we had the night we all went to see the play?
