Finally decided to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Jay and I have been sick with a bad cough for several days so we haven't done much lately. Which explains the lack of posts. Apparently I picked up a bug and passes it to Jay. We've been running so much lately I guess our defenses are down lol

Our landlord gave us a gift certificate to Mims Seaside Bistro for Christmas which was so nice of them. So since we're feeling a bit better we decided to get out of the house and use it. So thank you guys for the great gift :-)

Contacting us for info

Several people over the last few years have contacted us for more information about making the move and living in STT. We enjoy answering questions and hearing about other people's stories and how they plan to make the move. The hard part about this, we don't have our email address listed on our profile for the blog because we don't want spammers to pick it up. So what people have done in the past is post a comment on one of our posts, with your name, email address and what your questions are. We get an email with the contents of the post before it goes out on the blog. So if we get one with someones personal info, we just don't post that comment but we can then at least contact you. I just received a similar post a few days ago, but there wasn't an email for me to contact them back. So if you're reading this, leave me another comment with your email and I will get back to you. If anyone has another idea on how to communicate better, I'm all ears. But I definitely do not want to list my email address for all the world to see :-)

Jimmy Buffham's Tattoo

If you saw the previous post, then you know that I went Saturday to get my first tattoo. I've wanted one since moving to STT. My very good friend Kirsten is getting ready to leave island, so I wanted it done before she left. So it was now or never. It hurt, but not as bad as I thought. Kirsten said I did really good lol  And Matt did an excellent job walking me through everything I needed to understand being my first time. I will definitely be back for more. :-)

Happy President's Day

Happy President's day and happy day off for most everyone except UVI. We gave up some of the smaller holidays in order to get our two weeks off around Christmas and New Year's. So that's a much better deal, so it's all good.

I had a great weekend. Poor Jay worked, not sure when his next day off will be. Major projects at work have to get done like yesterday so hopefully he'll get a few days when they finish up.

Saturday we had a going away party for Dave and Kirsten who are getting ready to leave de islands after being here for 10 years to do a little sailing. I'm really going to miss Kirsten, she has become one of my really good friends here so it will be a very sad day when they take off. It was a full moon out Saturday during the party and we took some really pretty pics of the moon along with some funny shots at the party, but can't really post them here lol

The other thing I did Saturday was get a tattoo! I've been wanting to get one since I moved here. Dave and Kirsten have several and really like the Jimmy Buffham shop near Havensight. I decided I had to do it before Kirsten left, so it was now or never. It turned out great. Matt did an awesome job. I'll post some pics later. ;-)

Happy Friday! Jay and I went back to work yesterday and boy was that hard! Lol had a great staycation with our friends, sad to see them leave. Today they're coming over to STT to have lunch with us before heading to the airport. We had a great time, but we are wiped out. At least for me, I get the weekend off to catch up on some rest. Poor jay is not off again until next week Thursday. There's a big fiberglass job that he has to get done so he is going to have to work straight thru. Hang in there Jay, you can do it! :-)

This pic is Maho on St. John. That's where we spent our last day with the crew. It was definitely the perfect end to our little staycation :-)

Well it's our last day of staycation so we did a little tour of the island. We have some friends in just for the day off a cruise ship so they came over to STJ to meet up with the rest of the WV crew. We're hanging out at Maho Bay for the day. Love it.

Well apparently Ivan's 20th Anniversary party is today instead of yesterday so we had to come back to Jost again today. This time we chartered Born to Rhumb instead of messing with the ferry. Captain Kevin cut us a great last minute deal. We headed to Ivan's but there wasn't much going on and the service was pretty rude so we decided to come down to Seddy's One Love to get some lobster and better service. We may head back down to Ivan's later to see if the activities have picked up. Still hoping to ketch a Kenny siting so stay tuned :-)

The WV invasion on Jost has begun. We took the ferry over for the day and plan to go to Ivan's for his 20th Anniversary party later. But we had to stop at Soggy Dollar first for a Sunshine. I love showing newbies Jost, they are in awe of the beauty and can't believe we can come over here anytime we get a day off! Lol stayed tuned for more WV invasion pics.

So the weekend is nearly here and the Rednecks are on St John, well some of them are some are getting in today and another group tomorrow. So Deb and I will be playing tourist with our friends on St John and in the BVI's so look out for some fun stuff the next few days.

Happy Friday! This is an oldie that I dug up. I was trying to delete some of the 1400 pics on my iPhone because I keep running out of memory and can't take any new pics lol. I saw this one and had to post it. Sapphire beach is beautiful so pics of it never gets old. Silvia is back in town to finalize some business that she left undone when she fled the island, like sell her car. So we plan on having some fun this weekend. Tonight is Hook Line, Fat Turtle, east end. Tomorrow is boating and water island, and Sunday is beach day. Fun times!!!!! :-)
